There's nothing wrong with sitting through the entire credits if you want to appreciate the artistry that went into making "Transformers: Rise of the Beasts." The film clocks in at just under two hours, making it the shortest live-action "Transformers" film to date. Hopefully, that means viewers won't be too antsy to get out of their seats, but if people need to get home or use the restroom, feel free to leave after the mid-credits scene, which does feature a critical development.
A post-credits scene likely would've been superfluous for this kind of movie anyway, unless it was some kind of random joke like several of the Michael Bay "Transformers" movies did. The film suggests some intriguing developments for the future of this series, and combined with the mid-credits scene, there's plenty for fans to speculate on until the next live-action installment gets announced.
There's no word on where the next live-action "Transformers" will go, but fans of the Hasbro toys won't have to wait too long to see Autobots back on the big screen. An animated prequel film starring Chris Hemsworth, called "Transformers: One," is due to come out in theaters on July 19, 2024. But the future of the "Transformers" franchise has been blown wide open, post-credits scene or not.
